STANDARD SHIPPING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES We offer FREE Standard Shipping on orders over $100 that are shipped within the United States. For orders less than $100, your shipping charges will be calculated upon checkout. Note that you will learn your shipping charges BEFORE you finalize your order. When you checkout, simply select Standard-Residential (if delivery is to a home) or Standard-Business (if delivery is to a business). If you choose Standard-Residential or Standard-Business, based on what you order and the delivery address, we will ship your order either via U.S. Mail, FedEx Ground, or FedEx Home Delivery. Standard Shipping generally takes 3-7 business days for delivery. EXPRESS SHIPPING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES We also ship FedEx 3-Day, FedEx 2-Day, and FedEx Next Day. Express shipping charges are based on the package weight and destination zip code. Delivery time is based on business days -- weekends and holidays are not included. To ensure that you receive your FedEx package, a signature is required on all FedEx Next Day, 2-Day, and 3-Day shipments so make sure that someone is available at the shipping address during delivery hours. If you are at work during the day, we recommend shipping to your business address. FedEx packages allow for tracking and are insured for up to $100. We cannot be responsible for delays in carrier deliveries. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING At this time, we ship to the following international destinations: Canada, UK, France, Japan, China, Australia, Israel, Germany, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Ireland. We offer Standard International, which generally goes via U.S. Postal Service Global Priority. Standard International takes approximately 7-14 business days to ship, but does not allow for tracking. If your order is lost when shipped via this method, we will not be able to re-ship unless you re-pay for the items and shipping. Standard International packages are also not insured. We also offer Priority International, which will ship via FedEx Priority Mail. This method generally takes 3-7 business days, and does allow for order tracking. Also, Priority International packages are insured for $100USD. You will receive the shipping rate for Standard International and Priority International when you check out, but BEFORE you finalize your order. Shipping amounts will be calculated based on destination and weight of items ordered. Note that for international deliveries, the customer is responsible for any customs, duties or taxes. Orders placed after 3 p.m. EST will ship in 2 business days. Orders placed on holidays or weekends will ship the following business day. You will be able to check the "gift wrap" box at checkout as well as include wording for your gift note. We use a nice gift wrapping paper that is appropriate for any occasion. Also, all customer shipments only include a packing slip, so your gift recipient will not see any prices. (We encourage all customers to print their online order confirmation in order to have a record of what they are being charged.) If you are shopping for a gift, you should also consider purchasing an email Gift Certificate. Return to Top of Page We gladly accept returns within 30 days after you receive your purchase. We deem receipt to be 10 business days after your order is shipped. To return merchandise, please send an email to info@tenderheaded.com and indicate what items you want to return and the reason for your return. You will then receive an RMA# and instructions on where to send your return. Your charge card will be credited within 5 business days after the item is returned. If you want to make an exchange, simply follow the above instructions for processing a return and simply order the item(s) you want from our site. Unless your item is damaged or defective, you will be responsible for return shipping fees. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS If your recieve an item that is defective or damaged, please send an email to info@tenderheaded.com indicating your order number and describing the defect or damage. We will send you instructions regarding how to process the return. You will not incur any return or re-shipping fees for defective or damaged products. Return to Top of Page Tenderheaded Accessories is a "virtual" store with a warehouse distribution facility in North Carolina. We do not have a traditional brick and mortar store. Since our customers are unable to physically visit us, we make every attempt to make shopping at our web store as user friendly as possible. We do plan to create a catalog in the future. Return to Top of Page Satin describes the manner in which polyester or acetate is weaved. Polyester and acetate are synthetic fabrics. Return to Top of Page Yes, it is. Silk is an animal fiber made from the viscous fluid of the silkworm. Cotton is also a natural fiber, but due to the different cellular structures of silk and cotton, silk is very smooth while cotton is fuzzy. Silk also remains lustrous and strong over time, while cotton loses its luster and strength. Return to Top of Page It really depends on the customer. You should really experiment to see which works best for you, and try one or the other at first. Head coverings protect your hair from the air, which can be drying. Some customers use both so that if their head covering falls off while they are sleeping, they have their satin or silk pillowcase as a backup. Return to Top of Page The general notion is that polyester satin is of better quality than acetate. If you are purchasing a pillowcase, your concern should be durability and smoothness. While the acetate pillowcases that we sell are extremely smooth and durable (our customers love them), the new Charmeuse (polyester) satin pillowcases are just as smooth, but more durable. In fact, customers are so pleased with the Charmeuse satin, that the manufacturer plans to phase out the acetate, and we will only sell Charmeuse polyester satin. While the quality of both zippered and non-zippered are great, the quality of the satin on the non-zippered version (SPC-101) is better. Return to Top of Page |
